Alison Hardcastle

 Alison Hardcastle cards, books, stationery and prints was founded in 2005 and born out of a love of illustration, beautiful books and stationery, handmade things, screen printing, colours, patterns, words, type, phrases, languages, structures and buildings, cities, the countryside, car boot sales and second hand shops, collections and finding ways of organising, recording and documenting all of these. (Oh and not forgetting tea and cake!!) The collection now comprises an extensive range of high quality hand screen printed cards, books, stationary and prints, displaying bold patterns, hand drawn lettering and illustrative elements distributed to shops both big and small throughout the UK. Integral to all Alison’s work is her passion for the handmade and handprinted. Everything is designed, printed and made by Alison herself in-house. Something which lasts and can be treasured like a handmade and hand printed item is more relevant than ever at the moment and we like the idea that these hand printed wares will be distributed with love, affection and friendship. Hopefully they’ll make the recipient smile and appreciate their own small piece of handmade artwork. Alison is constantly scribbling down phrases, drawing out ideas, taking photographs and designing new products to extend and refresh the range. Alongside her range of products Alison has applied her illustrative skills to a number of commissions, bespoke stationery, editorial and design work and welcomes any enquiries regarding commissions.
