Carol Henry
Since graduating from Art College in 1988, I have worked as both an illustrator and an art technician. My sculptures have been exhibited in a range of local galleries over the last 10 years. I have always been interested in the human form and regard my sculptures as abstract portraits, originating in the imagination. Sculpture allows me to explore human characteristics while experimenting with form and texture.
I am drawn to the visual depth and three-dimensional challenges of sculpture. I believe that this medium, by inhabiting real space, asks to be touched and rewards attention from all angles. It has a sensual presence, colour and texture combining to create a complete visual and tactile experience.
