Gillian Lonsdale

Born in Banbridge now living in Lisburn, Gillian Lonsdale's training in Art & Design began at Rupert Stanley College, Belfast, and then studied towards a BA in the Art Faculty of the University of Ulster.

Upon graduating she immediately began working in a creative environment as a graphic designer in one of Northern Ireland's leading design agencies. Gillian now works from her studio as a full-time artist and has exhibited in several galleries. An emerging and innovative artist, Gillian uses oil as her primary medium. Her paintings are characterised by an energetic brushstroke depicting contrasting colours and textures.
