'Still Standing' is a signed, original oil painting with gold leaf details on canvas by Alison McIlkenny.

There is a tradition in Japan called kintsugi which translates as golden joinery. If a pot or a vase breaks, it is mended using gold which is a lovely metaphor for embracing flaws and broken objects and cherishing them instead of throwing them away. Alison has painted the vase in this painting to reflect kintsugi techniques.

This artwork comes in a white, wooden tray frame.
