Analogue Print - The Bookies

'The Bookies' is a signed photographic print by Frankie Quinn of a punter at the old bookies at Short Strand Belfast circa 1983. Notice the beaten dockets scattered over the floor.

This is a signed and dated hand printed silver gelatin print by Frankie Quinn, developed in a darkroom on glossy photographic paper which shows strong contrasts - blacks in the image are more prominent. This print dates back many years to when the photograph was developed and as such show signs of wear and tear, which in a perverse way has added character to the photograph. This print, along with the rest in his analogue print series, are among the last remaining black and white darkroom prints he developed.
