The Importance Of Gentle Beings

'The Importance Of Gentle Beings' is a signed, open edition print by Corrina Askin.

Corrina Askin is a local artist and this is her recent collaboration with the late Manchán Magan. This is a collection of work to celebrate the joy of creativity, music, dance and imagination. It is an introduction to the Irish language and folklore.

"Corrina has this lovely devilish sense of humour. I knew that she wasn't going to be overly pious about the work, she was going to extract her own personal angle from it and then make it come alive, which is exactly what she's done. I saw Corrina wanted to engage with the world, she wanted to communicate, and her work has that immediate engaging accessibility to it - this delight, this excitement.
When I saw Corrina’s work, I thought I want to work with Corrina, because she takes her art lightly, and just wants to use those tools to communicate with people."

Frame Details: We use sustainable wooden frames and glass, not fibreboard and acrylic which typically you find in 'off the shelf' frames. Unlike acrylic, glass does not lose its clarity over time and can be easily and safely cleaned. We have been successfully shipping ready to hang frames containing glass since we opened in 2005.
