'Transition Key Pattern In Walnut' is a 'key pattern' found in the Book of Kells which has been milled by CNC (Computer Numeric Control) from the walnut wood.
The pattern communicates a maze-like or labyrinthine mood, being carefully designed by the artist mathematically. This centuries-old pattern illustrates a novel transition from a vertical pattern to the same horizontal pattern. The wood has been oiled for lustre and hand-finished.
