Ana Monroe

After leaving the world of cinema and film, where she worked in the prosthetics and art department, Ana has returned to her favourite media - painting. 

Ana gained her degree in Fine Art in Bucharest, under the guidance of the well known Romanian artists, Sorin and Ana Ilfoveanu.  

Having Lived in Northern Ireland for almost two decades, Ana's work reflects what first impressed her in the local landscape and she occasionally combines that with elements of folklore from her native Romania. 

Her intent is to capture the movement and life of a particular image, often emplying collage, text and texture with the intension of expressing the playfulness and movement of a landscape.
