Blair Bailie

Blair Bailie Scrufius illustratum Indigenous to the low country around Cloughy, County Down, although occasionally observed to have migrated to North Wales to study illustration. In the wild, this tall bipedal omnivore can often be found buying ice-cream, hunting for insects and, during the summer months, doing clubs and camps for children. However, when in captivity, the Blair confines itself to a den, or “studio,” and utilises its crude tool-making abilities to create humorous likenesses of existing animals or people on a thin membrane of wood pulp. Solitary by nature, it lines its studio with collections of art materials, fossils, books and dinosaur posters. When this rare creature is not foraging for food or illustrating anthropomorphised animal portraits, it is usually either drawing something else or hibernating.
