Gillian Kyle

Gillian Kyle graduated in textile design from Glasgow School of Art. One evening over dinner inspiration came suddenly to Gill. Teacakes! Irn-Bru! Plain loaves! It was time to marvel at these icons of Scottish popular culture, and the GK brand was born. In early 2009 Gillian launched her iconic range of screen-printed bags, aprons, tea towels and t-shirts - selling through some small shops and also direct to the public at markets, fairs and festivals throughout the summer. The brand has grown steadily since then, and added more lines along the way.
