Jessica Sampson

Jessica Sampson is an artist whose expressive and semi-abstract landscapes are deeply inspired by the Irish coastline, particularly the ever-changing shores near her home in Bangor.

Her work explores the rhythm and atmosphere of the sea, offering what she calls “seascape escapist portals”—inviting viewers to step into a world shaped by emotion, memory, and movement. Her preferred medium is oil paint on board, moving through small pieces to larger scale. In 2023 her work was selected for inclusion in the annual RUA exhibition, marking a significant milestone in her artistic journey.

Jessica studied Art & Design at the University of Ulster, graduating in 2013. She went on to build a successful career in interior design and currently works within an architectural practise, where she blends her creative disciplines. Her painting runs in parallel, allowing her to channel her passion for design, nature, and place into striking visual narratives.
