Tom Mu

 From China, now living and working in Belfast. He studied Art Design in Zhengzhou and later completed an MA in Arts Management at Queen’s University Belfast.

His work is intuitive and exploratory in nature. While his early training was rooted in traditional practices, his current approach is more open and flexible. Tom enjoys allowing paintings to develop naturally, responding to colour, movement and emotion as the work progresses rather than following a fixed plan. In this way, his practice brings together his past and present, combining his background in art with the reality of his life.
