Eimear Campbell is a self-taught artist who creates rugged, atmospheric and emotive paintings. She experiments with a variety of media but predominantly works with acrylics. Eimear originally studied photography at the Belfast College of Art while painting on the side for enjoyment. After graduating in 2014 she worked in a photography studio in Fermanagh before moving back to Belfast in 2017 where her love for art was reignited by the strong creative culture in the city. In 2020 Eimear became a full-time artist based in Belfast. Eimear works in a semi-abstract form. Her objective is to create paintings that portray the emotions and sensual experiences felt when emersed in the natural Irish landscape. Each painting has a flourish of soft quiet tones juxtaposed with punches of colour and textured rugged surfaces.
